Mission Statement.  Sounds fancy, doesn't it?  I love to do things like that.

I threw together this web site because my wife has started collecting the lotus pattern.  We set out to hit the antique shops in March 1999, hoping to find a little something for my birthday.  Naturally I didn't get a darn thing, but my wife came away with a set of dishes that struck her fancy.  So I have fun by proxy, helping her search through stores, online shops, and the auction sites.  Maybe this year I'll actually get something for my birthday.  And maybe pigs will fly.

I had to start this site because books we initially found on Red Wing dealt mostly with the pottery and artware lines.  The ones that mention Red Wing's dinnerware lines only touch lightly on what patterns are available and when they were made.  We did eventually find two excellent books, but we still thought it would be a good idea to have an online resource.  I don't claim to be an expert on Red Wing's dinnerware lines, but I'm pretty good with the copy and paste commands.  So if you'll bear with me, we'll get down to business.

If you see any errors or have additional material to add (or you've got that rare vase you're just dying to sell me), my name is Todd Hintz and I can be reached by email.  Please follow this link for  the sources for this page.

I would especially like to thank my wife, Ivy Loughborough, and Laraine MacKenzie for their help with this site.  Without their assistance I would still be playing Age of Empires II out on the Zone and this never would have got off the ground.
